We have been representing Citotest brand, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of histology and pathology supplies, for numerous years already. Many of their laboratory supplies, including high-quality microscope slides (for which the manufacturer ranks among the top 3 on a global scale) and a wide selection of cassettes, are well known to our customers.
We are now pleased to introduce the UV laser printers added to the Citotest product catalog in 2025: UC-160 ja UC-600. Semetron offers both models with local support, installation and maintenance.
Why UV laser technology?
Both models are based on contactless UV laser technology, which means that the cold laser etches text or codes directly onto the surface of the cassettes permanently and in a chemical-resistant way. The marking has high resolution (2500 dpi) and is wear-resistant, ensuring reliable traceability of samples throughout the workflow. Since the technology does not require additional consumables, such as ink cartridges, the laboratory’s daily workflow becomes smoother, more cost-effective, and the risk of errors is reduced.
The UC-160 is a compact solution for flexible on-demand workflows
This model is designed for laboratories that need a space-saving and reliable device for fast labeling of sample cassettes (on-demand).

If you need a reliable solution for labelling microscope slides as well, the new Citotest US-100 UV laser slide printer is now available. The device offers label quality equivalent to 2500 dpi resolution and prints a single slide in 3–5 seconds. The printer has a single tray that can hold 100 slides at a time (the output tray has the same capacity). For convenient navigation, the device features a large 11-inch touchscreen.
