The State Defense Investment Center (RKIK) in cooperation with Norway and the Netherlands sent a third field hospital package to Ukraine to support Ukraine in the military conflict with Russia. To send the field hospital, Norway and the Netherlands donated €7.8 million to bolster Ukraine’s medical capacity.

“At the end of February, I gave the symbolic key to the military hospital to Oleksii Reznikov, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, in Kyiv, and I am glad that it has now arrived. In order for Ukraine to win this war, it is important that Europe supports Ukraine together, and for this we have initiated the European Union’s procurement of over a million shells for Ukraine,” said Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur.

Ukraine will receive part of the existing field hospital of the Defence Forces. “The donation includes eight special-function medical containers with surgical, emergency, intensive care, treatment and intermediate modules, a medical storage room, a sterilisation module and a resource module,” said the Centre for Defence Investment’s Project Manager for field hospitals Kadi-Kai Kollo.

“Europe must unite in support if Ukraine is to win this war, and to this end we have initiated the procurement of one million shells for Ukraine across the European Union.”
