Introducing new bariatric manikin: R42

Introducing the latest addition to our portfolio: the R42 bariatric training manikin with all the modern features. This manikin can contribute to the healthcare specialists hands-on training by providing the opportunity to practice patient care and lifting techniques for bariatric patients in a safe learning environment.

Key features:

• Realistic representation Simulation of intravenous catheterization, intramuscular injections, practice of simulated fluids and blood products. Compatible with ET tubes, i-gel (LMA), Oropharyngeal airway, King LTD tubes, and nasal pharyngeal tubes. Supports nasal feeding tube insertion. Anatomically accurate female genitalia for catheterisation training. Realistic hair, teeth, eyebrows and eyelashes.
• Realistic skin texture. The R42 has a cellulite textured skin, a pannus abdomen, natural wrinkles and creases. Movable skin hides various types of sores, inflammatory areas and wounds for lifelike practice.
• Realistic limb mobility. The limbs of this manikin specifically mimic the limited mobility of a bariatric patient and help to understand the complexity of the patient movement process. Neck movement is limited to simulate the limitations associated with obesity.
• A wide range of possible uses. Training of anaesthesia personnel, preparatory training for nurses, practice of patient positioning in the operating theatre, practice of patient transport for paramedics, additional practical training for physiotherapy students.
• Additionally. The R42 can be positioned in various healthcare settings, including lithotomy, prone, and operating room positions to practice different patient positioning scenarios. The weight of the training manikin can be selected between 48-145kg. It is also possible to choose the skin tone of the manikin.
